WUVA at 60 | Sixty Years of Memories, One Great Event!
Over 120 WUVA Alumni and friends, current students, staff and University leaders gathered on Saturday, October 20, 2007 for an amazing and wonderful celebration of 60 years of success for a truly unique organization.
WUVA alumnus Mike Moose also announced the initiation of the process to form a WUVA Alumni Interest Group, or "AIG", within the University of Virginia Alumni Assocation to further organize and energize the station's increasingly active alumni base. This group will help alumni keep in touch with the station and each other, and provide mentoring, internship and career placement opportunities for WUVA students as they move from working at the station during their years at UVa into the job marketplace. The "WUVA at 60" event was well attended, with alumni representing every decade of the station's existence in attendance.
